SUZETTE PRESTON
Suzette Preston has been an administrator in the Appleton Area School District since 2002. With a background in school psychology and special education, she initially worked as a Special Education Coordinator within the district, supporting many schools and providing department leadership for the Early Childhood Special Education department.
With a strong interest in early intervention, Suzette served as one of three co-chairs of the community 4K exploration, planning and implementation teams for 4K. Upon approval by the School Board in 2012, Suzette was named the Director of 4-Year-Old Kindergarten. Suzette is proud of the strong collaboration we have with our community childcare and preschool partners that allows us to provide 4K for our young learners throughout our community in high quality early learning environments. Suzette graduated from Carroll College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and continued her education at UW-La Crosse graduating with a Master’s degree in Education and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Psychology.
After working in northern Wisconsin as a school psychologist for two years, she returned to school completing her training in Education Administration at UW-Madison. Originally from southwestern Wisconsin, Suzette served as the Director of Special Education in her home town of Boscobel before moving with her family to the Fox Valley.
